Rare Large Northern Country House Desk

A beautiful and large estate desk, possibly having been used by a rural squire or an estate manager. Denmark or Sweden, circa 1790-1810. Beautiful Patina, Worn, pale oak and remains of original paint in the upper part. The upper part can be taken out of the apron for transport. Deep enough to actually work on it, and with great visual impact, this is the perfect home office. It also anchors a room. This piece has plenty of storage and is i ready to use, beautiful condition. There must have been alterations made in the course of its history, but they only add to the charm of the piece.
